atom (n.)
a. the smallest particle of an element that can exist either alone or in combination
b. considered as a source of vast potential constructive or destructive energy
c. a minute indivisible particle of which according to ancient materialism the universe is composed
Atom Press looks at the visual and textual intersections of code, information, language, and culture. Where the atom is the classical building block of matter, so is the letter the indivisible unit of text. When manifest as electrons and light, the bit and the pixel constitute the immaterial particles of digital worlds.
